Chapter 3. SOA Fundamentals
Before we get into the many topic areas that pertain to .NET and Azure technologies and platforms, we first need to establish some fundamental terms and concepts associated with service-oriented computing, service-oriented architecture, and service-orientation.
If you have already read other books in this series (in particular, SOA Design Patterns and SOA Principles of Service Design), then you can safely skip this chapter. If you are new to SOA and service-orientation, this chapter will provide only a concise overview.
