Learning About Drag and Drop

After becoming proficient at operating Windows and its programs with commands, you will want to learn some of the faster, but less obvious, methods of controlling Windows and its programs. One of the most powerful methods is drag and drop.

The term drag and drop specifies exactly the action that the method uses. You click an object, such as a folder, and then hold down the mouse button as you drag the object to a new location. You drop the object by releasing the mouse button.
