Configuring CDE
You can configure the CDE to control its appearance and functionality by using the configuration files. The CDE has three configurable components:
Login Manager— Displays the login screen, authenticates users, and passes control to the Session Manager.
Session Manager— Starts, maintains, and tracks the user sessions. A session is a group of settings, applications, and resources on the user's desktop.
Workspace Manager— Controls the appearance and behavior of the windows in various workspaces.
