Differences Between Page and Screen
The differences between the printed page and monitor screen are many. However, do not overlook the differences that exist within those two categories. There is often a huge difference between preparing artwork for newsprint and for a glossy magazine (see Chapter 24, “Commercial Printing and Trapping Issues”). And not all RGB work is destined for the World Wide Web. Nonetheless, the major categorical differences must be examined before any specialized discussion.
