Chapter 14
Editing Output
IN THIS CHAPTER
Editing charts
Editing tables
Almost all SPSS output comes in the form of charts or tables. Throughout this book, you create a variety of charts and tables using an array of procedures. In this chapter, you learn how to edit charts and tables so you can customize them to have the look and information you want.
Editing Graphs
In Chapters 12 and 13, you create a variety of graphs. In this section, you see how to edit those graphs to create a better visual representation of the information in the chart. Although this section doesn’t cover every type of edit you can make to a chart, you can use the steps here as a baseline to explore additional editing options.
Chart Editor provides an easy-to-use environment for customizing charts and exploring data. You can quickly select and edit parts of a chart by using toolbar menus, context menus, and toolbar options, and you can enter text directly in a chart.
To use Chart Editor, you select the element you want to modify and then use the Properties dialog to change the properties for that element. The tabs you see in the Properties dialog change based on your current selection.
