I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Rushes are the most terrifying thing on God's earth – exciting but so raw. There are no sound effects. And you have to explain to some executive producer, ‘there will be sound here’ and you feel you have to explain your way all through the rushes. It's so painful watching it. But the joy of making something move – then you watch it on film and it's not yours anymore. You still have the muscle memory – you can remember what was going on in the world when you were shooting it ...
