Implementing Strategy Through Portfolios and Projects
This book, Strategic Leadership of Portfolio and Project Management, provides an approach to leadership by linking strategy to the action necessary to successfully implement it. Many companies face varying strategic implementation challenges as can be seen in Table 1.1.
The book guides executives through strategic implementation by creating a framework of key concepts and tools from portfolio management, executive sponsorship, project management, quality, information technology (IT), and decision-making. Each chapter describes how one of these companies met its implementation challenge by using concepts from that chapter.
