Chapter 7. Programming with the RMAPI

Introduction

The resource management API (RMAPI) consists of callback methods, C library functions, and command-line utilities to provide an interface to the resource group manager (RGM) and resource types. In this chapter, we will cover the RMAPI’s C library functions and command-line utilities. These functions and command-line interfaces (CLIs) can be used to create highly available services and scalable services and can gather information about the cluster. For information regarding the RMAPI callback methods, refer to Chapter 6.
