10.1 Case Study 1: Ocean Container Theft, Port of Newark, NJ

A well-known manufacturer and distributor of women’s intimate high-fashion clothing has been using ocean shipping to move their products from the final point of assembly into the United States for final distribution to retail outlets. The containers are full-container load (FCL), holding a variety of their products in a wide range of value, size, colors, etc. The containers are loaded, verified, and sealed at this final assembly point and trucked to the port of departure.
