As I mentioned in Chapter 1, my colleagues and I worked with two companies that used a process very similar to the nine steps described in this book. One of those companies followed the process almost exactly, with excellent results. As with any complex process, this firm experienced a few bumps in the road, but nothing that seriously derailed the process.
