Creating a Report

To create a report from the console, choose the menu icon Create Report to launch the Create Report Wizard. You have the ability to use a report model if one is present, or use a SQL-based report. This example uses the SQL-based report. For more information on creating and using report models, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345322.aspx.

Enter a name for your report, choose the Path icon, and select a folder location to which to save the report, as displayed in Figure 18.23. Click Next, review the Summary page, as shown in Figure 18.24, click Next, and then Finish, and the report is deployed to your report server, and Report Builder launches.
