Deploying the OS X Client

Deploying the OS X agent is a manual process. Follow these steps:

1. Copy the macclient.dmg file over to the OS X computer.

2. On the OS X system, run that DMG file, which expands into a folder on the desktop. The DMG file is like a Zip file in Windows.

3. Copy that folder (7958shipbin) to a local folder on the OS X.

4. Verify that you have the ccmsetup program, the CMClient.pkg package, and a Tools folder, as shown in Figure 5.9.

5. Next, install the agent. Open a terminal window and navigate to the folder shown in Figure 5.9. Run the ccmsetup program using this command:

sudo ./ccmsetup ...
