3.4.3 The General Plan

This section stresses the use of functional analysis using functional flow diagramming as the means to gain an organized insight into the identification of product performance and programmatic process requirements. We will make a first pass with that as the mechanism. In Section 3.7 we will visit some other mechanisms and how they may be used to the same end.

Functional analysis, discussed in detail in Section 3.3, is the first step in a three-step performance requirements analysis process.
