Appendix B. Tablet Shortcuts

Pen Shortcuts

  • Press and hold and right-tap

    Use either or both functions to provide a right-click when you use your pen instead of a mouse. The exact behaviors of these functions are set in the Tablet And Pen Settings control panel.

  • Top of pen erase

    Where available, this shortcut allows you to erase ink without switching tools in Journal and Sticky Notes by pressing and dragging with the top of the pen instead of the point. Some pens also have a barrel button for an eraser. This function must be enabled in the Tablet And Pen Settings control panel.

  • Double-tap Input Panel title bar

    This toggles the input panel between docked and undocked.

  • Tap to select

    In Journal and an ink area, tapping an ink stroke with the Selection Tool ...
