Appendix E. Diagnose Network Troubles in Tiger
Tiger users rejoice! Tiger includes a new tool, called Network Diagnostics, that could eliminate piles of frustration in trying to figure out why an AirPort, Ethernet, or other network connection just won’t work.
The Network Diagnostics tool appears as an option when you click the Assist Me button at the bottom of the Network preference pane in System Preferences. In Panther, clicking this button launched the Network Setup Assistant. But Tiger presents you with two choices: Network Diagnostics and Network Setup Assistant.
