Chapter . Communicate Using .Mac Mail

Each .Mac account includes an email address in the Mac.com domain (such as ). You may already have an email account from your ISP or an online service such as Google’s Gmail, but .Mac Mail offers a number of useful features that make it ideal as a primary or supplemental email account.

Note

I use the term “.Mac Mail” when referring either to the email accounts included with .Mac accounts or to the Web-based interface for sending and receiving email in those accounts. I refer to the email client Apple includes with Mac OS X as “Mail” or “the Mail application.”
