Resolve Sync Conflicts

A Mac OS X program called Conflict Resolver compares synced data across all computers and other devices (such as iPhones) to which your data are synced. If Conflict Resolver spots a difference between the same item in two sources, and it can't figure out which source is correct, it reports a sync conflict. For the iPhone, this would typically happen immediately after a sync in iTunes.

In such cases, an alert message should automatically appear. From this alert, you can choose to review the conflicts, via a dialog where you can select the correct source for each conflicted item (Figure 3-7).
