I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Efficiency and performance are issues that we have not discussed much so far. We have primarily been concerned with correctness of operation. In this chapter and the next two, we will be focusing not only on the basic tasks TCP performs, but also on how well it performs them. The TCP protocol provides a reliable data delivery service between two applications using an underlying network layer (IP) that may lose, duplicate, or reorder packets.
