Discover: Laying the Foundation

The discover phase begins the process during which the team identifies and defines the goals and objectives or problems that need to be solved with AI. This is the opportunity to grasp the essence of the mission, the goals, and the hurdles. This period is saturated with probing research, exploration, curation, creation, meticulous analysis, and review.
The discover phase is arguably the most important of all six phases of the 6Ds Framework. Get this wrong, and the whole project can go off track quickly. Before embarking on this step, there must be a strong vision and a detailed project plan, as discussed in Chapter 4.
