FORMS

Business forms are created for common fill-in-the-blank documents such as job applications, health benefit claims, and legal documentation.

For legal documents, write numbers in words and then repeat them immediately in numerals inside parentheses.

Example: ten thousand five hundred and seventy-five (10,575)

For dates in legal forms, the month is always spelled out.

The following words and phrases often used in legal documents (Figure 3.27) are customarily written in full capitals, usually followed by a comma, a colon, or no punctuation:
