Chapter 12. Information Delivery in a Web 2.0 World
In this chapter, we consider the use of mashups as part of the next phase of informational applications. In the context of Enterprise Information Architectures, a mashup is something that exhibits many of the properties of a Web 2.0 application (as defined by Tim O’Reilly1). We describe how mashups fit into Web 2.0, and then outline mashup architecture, its place within the component model described in Chapter 5, and some scenarios that use mashups to enable the user to understand typical mashup applications in practice.
