When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About the Author
Dr. Patrick Engebretson obtained his Doctor of Science degree with a specialization in information security from Dakota State University. He currently serves as an assistant professor of information assurance and also works as a senior penetration tester for a security firm in the Midwest. His research interests include penetration testing, hacking, intrusion detection, exploitation, honey pots, and malware. In the past several years, he has published many peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in these areas. He has been invited by the Department of Homeland Security to share his research at the Software Assurance Forum in Washington, DC, and has also spoken at Black Hat in Las Vegas.
