About the Author

Stephen L. Weiss is the Managing Partner of Short Hills Capital Partners, LLC. He is an active investor, markets expert, public speaker, and the author of the top selling The Billion Dollar Mistake: Learning the Art of Investing Through the Missteps of Legendary Investors (John Wiley & Sons, 2010). In addition to the English language version, it is available in two Chinese dialects, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese. A 25-year veteran of Wall Street, he has held senior management positions at Salomon Brothers, SAC Capital, and Lehman Brothers, where he built Wall Street’s #1 ranked sales force. Weiss is a CNBC Contributor with a regular role on Fast Money and the Fast Money Halftime Report. Additionally, he frequently appears on The Kudlow Report and other CNBC shows. The Big Win: Learning from the Legends to Become a More Successful Investor is his second investment book. He has also written Hedged, a novel about A Killing in the Market. Due to be released in 2012, it is a financial thriller.

Weiss maintains strong relationships with some of the industry’s most highly regarded investment managers. He is a former tax attorney and a member of the American Bar Association. The author resides in New Jersey with his wife Lauren, daughters Shelby and Lindsay, and three dogs: Dino, Pebbles, and Fred.
