As always, there are other ways to configure the security of your wireless network besides the one we have just seen. What little protection WEP encryption offers, security professionals tend to agree, is barely enough to signal to an attacker that you do not intend to let all and sundry use your network resources.
The configuration we built in "Setting Up a Simple Wireless Network" on Setting Up a Simple Wireless Network is functional. It will let all reasonably configured wireless clients connect, and that may be a problem in itself, since that configuration does not have any real support built in for letting you decide who uses your network.
