Introduction

1.   The phrase “history is written by the victors” has been credited to Winston Churchill, Niccolò Machiavelli, Voltaire, and others, but there doesn’t seem to be any documented proof that any actually uttered the phrase. Search results primarily give the credit to Winston Churchill.
