Networking in the Music Industry

You went to a party or gathering where there were people who could be helpful to you in your career. Maybe you passed out your business cards and told them about what you do. Then you went home and waited, hoping they would reach out to you with an opportunity or to introduce you to other helpful people. And then…nothing. Not a peep. Has this happened to you?

We often hear how crucial it is to network for success. This is true in every industry, and especially in the music business. We’ve all heard: It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
