You remember the Borg, those creepy characters from the Star Trek series, right? They had a saying: “Resistance is futile.” I hope they don’t mind that I borrowed their catchphrase for the title of this chapter.
Resistance can come in all shapes and sizes, from someone refusing to fund a project, to an employee not wanting to use a tool, to someone in IT not being willing to implement a solution. The important thing here to realize is that resistance does exist but there are ways to overcome it.
