I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER 6: CMMC IMPLICATIONS
At this time, it is hard to estimate the total implications of the CMMC program. The CMMC concerns annual contracts for the US military budget, which for the 2020 fiscal year, ran to $738 billion.42 This covers about 350,000 contractors worldwide. The requirements of the CMMC are expected to be standard by 2026.
However, the program is unlikely to stop there. Cybersecurity is not just for the DoD. There are more than 70 categories of CUI, covering finance, immigration, natural and cultural resources, intellectual property, taxation, transportation, and more, all of which have government contractors or subcontractors. It is conceivable, perhaps even likely, that other executive branches could adopt the CMMC standard. ...
