Designing Fitness Criteria and Making Assessments
As introduced in Chapter 10, fitness criteria are for judging alternative frameworks and their strategies. Making an assessment is asking the question, “what do we project the performance against our fitness criteria if we implement an alternative?” By assessing, you not only distinguish between alternatives but, much more important, exert stressors on the alternatives so they evolve to become better. Like other elements of the SAM, you will not get fitness criteria and assessments correct right away.
