CHAPTER 6The Compromise Zone

Congratulations! You have officially made it to the bridge between destructive and constructive energy. As promised in Chapter 3, we had to commence with heavy lifting, identifying what is weighing you down and where you are operating under lower levels of energy. Now that you have pushed through the resistance of level one and level two energy, we will shift gears to a flat road. Understandably, after exerting all that energy to get up the hill, all you probably want to do is coast. Well, you have made it to exactly that point.

Level three energy is the conduit from destructive to constructive energy. This energy is very useful because it empowers people to focus on the positive versus the negative. Those who lead with level three energy are masters at reconciling difficult situations. They leverage their energy to align people and teams to motivate themselves and others to move forward. Ultimately, you can use this energy as an escape route from feeling defeated or angry, allowing you to see the positive side of a situation.

The drawback to level three energy is that many stay in this zone, believing that they're just “fine.” When a person feels “fine,” they tend to want to keep the “peace” and trade off on their wants and desires to avoid feeling stressed or fearful. When you consistently compromise on your wants and desires, you hold yourself back from attaining true happiness.
