So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

For more than 10 years I have worked with Steve Jamison in a most productive collaboration designed to share publicly my philosophy of success and how to achieve it. I’m extremely pleased with our results. His understanding of my overall philosophy and methodology—what I did as a leader and why I did it—is comprehensive, and he has a terrific ability to articulate that knowledge.
The Essential Wooden continues our collaboration and expands on the themes presented in Wooden on Leadership.
There is nothing fancy in what I teach about team building—nothing that requires a special gift, privilege, or access to power. Rather, it requires dedication to certain principles and concepts that I include in this book.
