In Table 11.1, methods related to understanding systems and developing high-impact changes were indicated to be essential in improving systems that require integration of several components or for changing behavior of many people working or living in varying contexts. A few rare individuals have a talent for intuitively or analytically developing insights into system dynamics and suggesting changes that can be based on these insights. The aim of the methods in this section is to increase significantly the number of people who can contribute to improving large or complex systems by making the task of understanding the system and the drivers of its performance less daunting.
