Chapter Overview
A network link contains the URL of another KML file or KMZ archive. When Google Earth opens the source KML file, it also fetches and loads the KML file referenced in the <NetworkLink> element. This fetched KML file can be either local or remote (that is, residing on a web server). Linking to a file on a web server allows the Google Earth user to view data that is updated remotely or that requires special processing by a web server (Figure 6-1).
