This is not a how-to book on filmmaking techniques. If you want to learn which settings to use with new HD cameras, put this book down. If you are interested in the details of nonlinear editing workflow, move on down the bookshelf.
But this book will be invaluable if you want to create stories using moving images—for any medium at all. It will help you do the thing that is common to film, television, web-based media, commercials, animated films, shorts, and so on.
