Shooting is easy. Everyone knows how to use a camera. And if you watch your video only once after you shoot it, there are few consequences for fairly bad shooting. How wonderful!

Editing, on the other hand, is the problem. Most people don’t have an intuitive sense of how to edit a video and, therefore, find the idea daunting. You might think that shooting video is for amateurs, but editing it is only for professionals. This isn’t true, but I can sympathize with the reasoning.
