Chapter 2. Tools

A Makerspace can never have enough tools. There will always be a new ratchet, precision screwdriver, or lithium iron phosphate-powered drill that can be added to the collection. Some tools are designed to operate around the forces produced by the human body, whereas others require external power (Figure 2-1). Some separate material, others join them together. Tools make it possible for us to create, destroy, hack, and manipulate the world around us. Having the right tool for the job make these processes infinitely easier.
