The quotation in the chapter title is perhaps the most famous line in the history of the television series and movie franchise Star Trek.1 It is of course attributed to Mr. Spock (played by Leonard Nimoy), the pointy eared, green-blooded, half Vulcan and half human first officer of the starship Enterprise.
