Chapter 2The Ultimate Separation and Solution
A big part of the battle between good and evil is free will. Free will is the choice we have to tune into the positive or the negative frequency. To choose love or fear, trust or doubt, hope or despair, to use the tools God has given us to win the battle or to pretend they don't exist. Every moment of every day we can choose what is good for us or bad for us. It's like we have a piece of a fruit and a cookie sitting in front of us each morning and we get to choose what we put into our body. We know the piece of fruit is better for us and yet so often we choose the cookie. We choose what weakens us rather than what strengthens us. We choose to limit ourselves instead of living a life of unlimited possibilities. We choose to become less, not more. The big question is why do we so often choose the cookie instead? Why do we choose what gives temporary pleasure and regret, instead of long‐term sustained health? When we feel separate we fill the gap with things we think will make us feel good but actually only make us feel worse. We try to fill the gap with everything but the connection to God that we truly seek. We do this because the lies of our enemy cause us to choose what is fake instead of real.
