3. Editing Basics

While the more creative tools we’ll cover in later chapters get more of the spotlight, the bread and butter tools—Automatic, Selective Adjust, Tune Image, Crop, Straighten, Details (Figure 3.1)—are the ones you’ll find yourself using most frequently. Almost every photo can stand a little contrast tweak, a cropping tuck, or a color-cast nudge before being sent along to a more creative tool.
