Chapter 2 Project, Program, and Portfolio Management

The previous chapter provided an overview of project management. In this chapter, program management and portfolio management will be explained. While there are some characteristics that are similar between each, there are differences related to their specific functions and scope. These are summarized in Table 2.1, at the end of the chapter. A good starting point would be understanding the difference between a project and operations.
