12. Age, Youth, and Upward Mobility

Two major demographic forces will prove critical to investors in the coming decade: Aging and the needs of the youth in developing economies, especially Asia.

These are not new developments and have impacted previous economic cycles. The difference today is that these economies are richer—and therefore more money will be spent to stay healthier longer as well as on the upbringing of children.
