Sprint Anti-Patterns

Introduction

This chapter covers the three Scrum accountabilities (formerly called roles) and addresses interferences of stakeholders and the IT/line management during the Sprint.

Sprints are Scrum’s core event, providing a timeboxed frame to deliver a usable Increment. They promote team alignment toward a shared goal, offer frequent inspection and adaptation opportunities, and empower Scrum Teams to adjust work based on feedback, encapsulating key agile principles; see Figure 5.1.
