Product Goal Anti-Patterns
Introduction
Product Goals act as beacons for Scrum Teams and provide transparency on the future state of a product to team members and stakeholders.
As a long-term objective, Product Goals help to connect the dots from product strategy—the big picture—to the Product Backlog, to an individual Sprint and its tactical objective, the Sprint Goal. The Product Goal thus helps the Scrum Team to focus and collaborate, as it reminds everyone on the team of their purpose and why they work together; see Figure 13.1.
