Appendix. Scrum Framework
Scrum is a framework for managing complex projects (see Figure A-1), such as software development. Scrum uses a prescribed set of roles, meetings, and artifacts and divides a large amount of work into one-week to one-month chunks called sprints. It is based on and employs agile principles (see Chapter 1, “Scrum: Simple, Not Easy,” for more on Scrum’s underlying principles).
