INCLUSIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

This glossary includes terms that are:

• Unique to program management (e.g., benefits management); and
• Not unique to program management, but used differently or with a narrower meaning in program management than in general everyday usage (e.g., benefit, risk).

This glossary generally does not include:

• Application- or industry-specific terms;
• Terms used in program management that do not differ in any material way from everyday use (e.g., business outcome); or
• Terms used in program management that do not differ from a similar term defined in the PMBOK^® Guide—Seventh Edition, except that these terms are now used at a program level instead of a project level (e.g., a program charter and a project charter both ...
