The figures in this appendix illustrate the best practices of different measurement approaches and methodologies used by a variety of companies. These should provide ideas and insights into developing a measurement program and specific actionable reports.
Caterpillar University ROI Analyses
Caterpillar has a very well-refined planning and measurement process, which includes measurement of ROI. Although Caterpillar tries to measure ROI. Their ROI process is used to help “rank” and “qualify” programs against each other, rather than to provide real economic cost-justification.
