As Bitcoin slowly but surely infiltrates the traditional world of commerce, it is also making inroads in the world of not-for-profit organizations. More and more charities are accepting Bitcoin donations—which is a good use for all those Bitcoins you might have loitering about on your computer’s hard drive.

Which charities accept donations in Bitcoin? The list is small but growing, and includes both small local charities and big worldwide organizations, such as Greenpeace and United Way. (Table D.1 presents an admittedly incomplete list of charities that accept Bitcoin.)
