Throughout this book, I've used Star Wars as a sort of memory palace—a way for you to put your new knowledge into fun cubbyholes. If you've forgotten the technical details but remember the storyline it was tied to, well, you could just reread the book, but failing that…this index might be your only hope.

The sources are listed in Star Wars Universe chronological order, not order of release in our galaxy. Within each, a short scene description or a quotation is followed by a reference to the chapter and most immediate heading to encourage you to re-read for the reference. (The table of contents lists sections; this story index contains lower-level headings.)

Episode I: The Phantom Menace
