The sticky foil defect occurs when the customer runs the product on their machines. The customer encounters a “tear out” where the sheet of foil rips or tears, causing production to stop. This defect primarily occurs because the foils stick together. The total cost of claims due to tear outs for the period considered for this project (October 1 to June 27) is approximately $326,655.
