War with Iraq

At approximately, 5:30 A.M. Baghdad time, on Thursday, March 20, 2003, Operation Iraqi Freedom began when coalition forces invaded Iraq.[1] The invasion occurred approximately 90 minutes after a 48-hour ultimatum expired from U.S. President George W. Bush that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his sons Uday and Qusay leave Iraq.[2] Saddam Hussein did not leave Iraq. The resultant war was relatively brief. The U.S.-led coalition easily dominated Iraqi armed forces on the battlefield, suffered minimal casualties, and achieved most of its military objectives in a matter of days and total victory within three weeks.[3] ...
